📌 Introduction

Monitoring your royalty statements on Soundreef is simple and intuitive. You can access the details of your earnings by year, quarter, rights category, song, and country directly from your account.

In this guide, we explain how to navigate the Royalty section to find all the information you need.


1️⃣ Where to find your statements?

✔ Access the Royalty section of your Soundreef account.
✔ Use the tabs at the top to navigate between different rights categories.
✔ In the Overview you will find a general view of your earnings.

🗺️ Royalty Overview

✔ View your total royalties by year of earnings, with the option to scroll and also check previous years.
✔ Check the quarterly trend of your royalties, thanks to the Royalty per quarter chart, which shows the trend of your earnings and the related periods of music usage.
✔ Then explore the details by song, type of usage, and country of usage.

👁️ The Royalty Overview offers you a complete view of your earnings, allowing you to compare revenues by year, quarter, rights category, and country at a glance.


2️⃣ Detail by individual rights category

To consult the details of your royalties by individual rights category, select it from the tabs at the top of the Royalty page (scroll right to find all categories).

🔹🎸 Public Performances (Live & DJ Set)

✔ Select the Public Performances tab.
✔ You can consult:

  • The royalties per quarter, with the trend of performances.

  • The royalties per song, to check which tracks generated more revenue.

  • The royalties per event, to see which performances contributed to your earnings.

  • The breakdown by country, if your music was performed in multiple nations.

👁️ The royalties from Live and DJ Set events are reported quarterly or, in the case of subscription licenses, with a maximum semi-annual frequency.

Usages occurring outside Italy are collected through reciprocal agreements, reporting timings may depend on the local collecting society.


🔹 🌐Online (Streaming and Digital Platforms)

✔ Select the Online tab.
✔ You can consult:

  • The royalties per quarter, with the periods of your music usage on digital platforms.

  • The royalties per DSP, to see from which platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.) your earnings come.

  • The detail per song, with the earnings generated by your individual tracks.

  • The detail by country, useful to understand where your music is most listened to.

👁️ The Online section allows you to view the detail of royalties by platform, track, and country.Usages occurring outside Europe are collected through reciprocal agreements, reporting timings may depend on the local collecting society.


🔹 📡 Radio/TV (Radio/TV Broadcasters)

✔ Select the Radio/TV tab.
✔ You can consult:

  • The royalties per quarter, with the earnings from usage on Radio and TV.

  • The detail per broadcaster, to see which radio stations and TV channels have broadcast your music.

  • The royalties per song, to monitor the performance of your works.

  • The breakdown by country, to verify in which nations your music was broadcast.

👁️ The Royalty-> Radio/TV section shows your Radio/TV earnings. Do not confuse it with the Monitoring section, which shows the broadcasts detected by the Soundreef radio/TV monitoring system.


🔹 💿 Mechanical (Physical Media: CDs, Vinyls, DVDs)

✔ Select the Mechanical tab.
✔ You can consult:

  • The royalties per quarter, with the earnings from prints on physical media.

  • The royalties per song, to check which titles generated more revenue.

  • The detail per label, useful to track from which producers your compensations come.

  • The breakdown by country, to understand where your mechanical products were sold.

👁️ Mechanical products released by Majors are reported with a maximum semi-annual frequency, while those released by independent producers follow a quarterly reporting. Usages occurring outside Italy are collected through reciprocal agreements, reporting timings may depend on the local collecting society.
