The IPI code (Interested Party Information) is a unique international identifier used by all collective management organizations to identify authors, composers, and music publishers worldwide. It uniquely represents you as the holder of your rights, distinguishing you from all other authors, composers, and publishers globally.

If your IPI code is not yet visible in your Soundreef profile, follow the steps below to ensure everything is in order.


1️⃣ Have you completed the activation of your Soundreef profile?

βœ” Ensure your Soundreef account is already active β†’ The IPI code is only assigned to fully activated Soundreef profiles.
βœ” If you haven't done so yet, complete the account verification process within your Soundreef profile.

βœ” If your data is still under verification, you need to wait for the verification and activation timelines of the account; subsequently, an IPI code will be generated and linked to you.

πŸ“Œ Note: The IPI code is not assigned during the registration phase but only after the complete activation of the account.


2️⃣ Have you already registered your first track?

βœ” The IPI code is generated only after the completion of the first registration β†’ If you haven't registered a track yet, start one from the songs registration section of your Soundreef account.
βœ” Ensure that all involved Soundreef rights holders have signed the List of Works.
βœ” The track must be active for at least five weeks for the code to be assigned.

πŸ“Œ Note: If you are coming from another collecting society, your IPI code will remain the same. If Soundreef is your first collecting society, the code will be generated by us only after the first registration and with a minimum technical time of five weeks.


3️⃣ Contact Soundreef Support

If you have checked all the above points and your IPI code has not yet been assigned, you can contact Soundreef Support via Messenger on the site or in your account for verification.
