❓ Why Isn't My Registration Complete?

📌 Introduction

If your registration appears to be incomplete, there may be several reasons for this.

You can check directly from your Soundreef account to understand whether there are missing digital consents in the List of Works and/or procedural errors.

Let’s take a closer look in this guide.

🖋️ Have You Accepted the List of Works via Digital Consent?

Check the Documents tab of your Work:

If you have not provided digital consent on the List of Works (summary document), the registration cannot be considered complete.

You can provide consent directly from your account — it only takes a simple click by selecting the acceptance checkbox.

👥 Have all Soundreef rights holders provided their digital consent in the List of Works?

If you have accepted the registration and the List of Works, check whether there are any Soundreef co-authors/publishers still pending consent.

The system automatically indicates whether there are still pending consents — simply consult the Documents section of the individual Work.

All Soundreef parties involved in the registration must accept the List of Works through digital consent (acceptance checkbox).

⚠️ A registration is considered complete only once all consents have been collected!

📄 Have you generated the LoW?

If you started the registration procedure but have not yet generated the List of Works, the process remains at an earlier stage and is therefore incomplete.

Check your ongoing registrations and the completion percentage: if the List of Works is not already available for consent, it was probably never generated.

📩 Did Your Soundreef Co-author/Publisher not receive the request to accept the LoW?

Check a few aspects:

  1. Were they tagged in the registration?
If you did not select them among the right holders, they will not receive anything.

  2. Did you tag the correct name?

    • Did you use the right holders search bar?

    • Are you sure you didn't select someone with the same name?

    • Did you mistakenly enter the name manually, treating them as a non-Soundreef member?

  3. Has the co-author/publisher checked their Soundreef account?

    • Acceptance of the List of Works is completed in the Documents tab, and the system will notify them if it is pending.

🧩 Remember

  • All Soundreef members involved must provide digital consent in the List of Works; this serves as confirmation of the Work details, the rights holders, and their respective ownership shares.

  • Until all Soundreef digital consents have been collected, the registration is not complete.

  • Only after providing digital consent will you be able to add metadata (MP3, ISRC code).

🟡Have you accepted the List of Works but see missing        data?

After accepting the List of Works, you can easily check whether metadata is missing:

Go to the Works → Versions section of your work.

We will indicate whether the MP3, the ISRC code, or both are missing.

In the general Works view, you also have search filters for missing MP3/ISRC information.

After complete accepting the List of Works, you can easily check if metadata is missing:

  • Go to the Tracks->Versions section of your track.

  • We will indicate if the MP3, ISRC code, or both are missing.

  • In the broader Tracks view, you also have search filters for MP3/ISRC to complete

📌 In these cases, the registration is complete, but awaiting metadata.

🚫 Do not confuse

  • If the List of Works signature is missing, the registration is incomplete.

  • If only the MP3 or ISRC code is missing, the registration is complete but partial in metadata. You can add them whenever you want.

✉️ How to accept a List of Works

If acceptance of the List of Works is missing, the registration is incomplete.

If only the MP3 or ISRC code is missing, the registration is complete but metadata is still partial. You can add it whenever you want.

❗ Soundreef registrations and other collecting societies

  • If you register a work with Soundreef, your SIAE co-authors/publishers or those from other collecting societies do not receive notifications or documents to sign.

  • Similarly, if they register a work with SIAE or other collecting societies, you do not receive anything automatically on Soundreef.

🔁 You must always register in your Soundreef account, all tracks in which you hold ownership shares.

🛠️Did you forget to tag a Soundreef coauthor/publisher?

If a Soundreef co-author/publisher was not tagged in the work and therefore did not receive the List of Works, there are two options we can follow:

  • They can register their share themselves, in their account (making a "partial" registration that will automatically merge with yours).

  • Or you can contact support, and we will update the chain of ownership details.

❓ FAQ

🔹 I accepted the List of Works, but the registration still appears incomplete. Why?
Most likely, there are other rights holders (Soundreef co-authors/publishers) who still need to provide their digital consent. Check the status in the Documents section of your Work.

🔹 My co-author did not receive anything: what can I do?
Check whether they were correctly tagged in the registration and selected among the rights holders. Otherwise, they can register their own share or you can contact support to update the registration.

🔹 I cannot find the List of Works in my account. What does this mean?
You may not have generated the document yet. Go back into the ongoing registration and verify that you completed the procedure correctly.

🔹 Is the registration complete even if the MP3 or ISRC is missing?
Yes. The registration is considered complete after acceptance of the List of Works. MP3 and ISRC are metadata that you can add later (remember to do so — they are important!).

🔹 Does Soundreef notify non-member co-authors/publishers?
No. Only Soundreef rights holders receive the request to accept the registration and the List of Works. Rights holders registered with another collecting society must register and sign separately with their own collecting society.

✅ Conclusion

Always check the Documents tab of your Works: if the List of Works has not been accepted via digital consent by all Soundreef rights holders, the registration will appear incomplete. Only after all Soundreef rights holders have accepted it will you be able to add metadata and fully complete the registration.
If your registration is not complete, there could be various reasons.
