💡I Need to Replace My MP3 File: How Do I Do It?

Updated over a week ago

```html
📌 Introduction
Did you upload the wrong MP3 or want to update an already uploaded audio version? No problem. You can replace the file by uploading a new version from your account and requesting the archiving of the previous one.
Let's see how to proceed.
🔁 Upload a New Version
To replace an MP3 file, you don't need to directly modify the one already uploaded (we'll take care of archiving it), but upload a new version of the track:
  1. Log in to your Soundreef account
  2. Select the track and go to the "Versions" tab
  3. Click on “Add Version +”
  4. Upload the new MP3 file
  5. Enter the metadata (if different from the previous ones)
🎯 If the ISRC code of the new version is the same as the previous one, there's no need to re-enter it: we will transfer it for you.
🗂️ How to Request Archiving of the Previous Version
After uploading the new version, contact Soundreef Support team (via Messenger on the site or directly from your account) and clearly indicate which version needs to be archived.
To help us identify it correctly, specify:
  • the title and artist name of the specific Version
  • the type of version (e.g., Radio Edit, Instrumental, etc.)
  • any existing metadata (e.g., ISRC, etc.)
🗑️ Can I Delete a Version Myself?
It depends on the status of the MP3 file:
  • If you haven't uploaded the MP3 yet, you can delete the version yourself from the Versions section
  • If the MP3 has already been uploaded, you need to contact Soundreef support.
❓ FAQ
✅ Conclusion
If you need to replace an already uploaded MP3, the procedure is simple: upload a new version, then contact us to archive the previous one. Remember that you can always check the status of the versions directly in your account, in the "Versions" section dedicated to your track.
