Conflicting claims and “conflicts” may be generated by the detection of differences in the Collecting Societies documentation or by a lack of rules uniformity among the Collecting Societies themselves.
Conflicts between two or more Collecting Societies may occur when the claimed shares exceed 100% of the composition rights (performance and/or mechanical rights). In these circumstances, Youtube does not process the claimed royalties payment until the conflict is solved.
Once the rights shares are correctly allocated among the different collecting societies, Youtube pays the required amounts, while Soundreef includes the royalties in the report that follows as well as pays the rights holders at the end of the corresponding quarter.
