YouTube conflicts happen when there are discrepancies between different collecting societies claiming parts of a song, for example due to differences in documentation or in claiming rules.
The conflict between two or more companies occurs when the claimed parts of a work exceed 100% of the copyright (DEM and / or DRM). In this case, YouTube will not process the royalty payment for the claim until the conflict is resolved.
Once the correct division of ownership between the companies is restored, YouTube will pay the expected amounts. Therefore, Soundreef will include what’s due in the first earnings report following resolution of the conflict and will make the payment at the end of the reference quarter.
